"As I look back on my life, I realize that every time I thought I was being rejected from something good,
I was actually being redirected to something better.” -Steve Maraboli
This is the quote of the year. Seriously guys. Read it. Read it again. Let it sink in. We are never rejected. There are no mistakes. No could haves. No should haves. Everything that happens comes along because it simply needs to. Fallbacks are crucial parts of the puzzle. Not getting what you want can be a huge step towards reaching a bigger dream. So relax. Release control. Learn from your mistakes and see the bigger picture. You’re not rejected. You’re redirected to something better. Something bigger.
Something marvelous.

"The bracelet is infused with elements sourced from the highest and lowest points on Earth. The white ball, carrying water from Mt. Everest, and the black ball, holding mud from the Dead Sea, exist on opposite ends. A string of clear beads link the two, signifying that throughout life’s circular journey, your path is your own."

Nicki Minaj speaking up about the backlash she received for her “Anaconda” cover. There will forever be a difference in how black bodies are viewed even when being marketed the same way. When black women show their bodies they are hoochies and hoes. But when white women show their bodies in a similar or even more revealing manner it is ART or fine. It can be sold in stores, seen in households without a second glance. I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with women showing skin but pointing out there’s no difference between the two. Intersectionality is real. Hard out here for black women. Feminist movement never claimed us.
